It can be highly inconveniencing and costly at the same time. Why allow it to happen when you can stop it completely? Now you have the information. We can comfortably fix any garage door opener. Whether it’s a manual one of the modern day automatic ones, we will be of great help to you. Here are some of the types of openers that we repair for homeowners:
Chain Drive Openers
If you know how bicycles chain work, then chain drive openers are almost similar to them. They pull or push a trolley that’s connected to a metal bar fixed on the garage door. That aside, this type of opener is reliable and less expensive than others. Furthermore, they require little maintenance. With them, you won’t have to worry about frequent repairs or replacements. The only problem that might make you uncomfortable is the fact that they are a little bit noisy.
Belt Drive Openers
They have a similar design with the chain models only for the fact that for the belt drive, it’s the rubber belt that pulls and pushes the trolley. Regarding reliability, they are just like the chain driven types. If you want to a quiet environment at home, then this is the best option. The only one thing that might make you avoid them is the fact that they are a little bit more expensive than the chain type.
Screw Drive Openers
A threaded steel rod drives the trolley. Compared to the other types of openers, this design has fewer moving parts. As a result, they require less maintenance and tune ups. It can, however, be a hassle to have them in places where there are wide temperature fluctuations especially during winter. Latest models have, however, been improved when it comes to temperature sensitivity and speed of operation.
Unlike other door openers, jackshaft types mount on the side of the door. Furthermore, they are driven by a 24-v DC motor that turns the torsion bar to raise the garage door. To lower it down, one has to simply reverse the motor to loosen the cable tension. With such a system at home, you are sure about quietness and reliability. They are, however, more expensive that the other three types.
Garage Door Remote Programming
You probably need to know something about remote programming. Remember that being mobile parts that we always carry around, remote controls can get stolen, break, or you may even decide to change and get new ones. Since programming might not be a do it yourself job, get in touch with our experts and we’ll help you program it well.
